Entourage claims 3rd-party SSL certificate is invalid

OK, here's a strange one (for me).  I have a client who was using OWA without SSL.  I suggested getting an SSL certificate, which we did through Godaddy.  We're using Server 2003 with Exchange 2003.  I installed the Intermediate certificate and Godaddy's certificate.  All works fine for the PCs using HTTPS, but the Mac's were broken.  First, we learned that even though the Macs are on the local network, we had to have them use SSL.  Now, they claim that the SSL certificate is invalid, like it was made on our own server (which we did before purchasing the 3rd party one from Godaddy).  Could the Macs be seeing and using this home-made certificate - or, does Entourage not recognize the Intermediate certificates - or am I just still missing something??  I'll admit I'm not as familiar with Macs as I am with PCs.  Thanks.
