We have a WatchGuard X550e Firmware v10.2.  I have setup a Report Server and the service is started and has been for several weeks.  When I go to the WatchGuard Report manager and open Edit ->Create Reports.  The Click a checkbox to select a report box is completely empty.  The reporting server is on a different machine than the System Manager not sure if that is the problem or not.

Have you connected to the Report Server; in Watchguard Report Server; click File->Connect; provide the Name/IP of the machine running report server service; provide username/password. After you connect you should be able to see the reports.

Please check and update.

Thank you.

Yes I am connected to the reporting server.  I put in the IP of the report server and then put in the passphrase. And click login. I get no error saying a connection could not be established or that my login was incorrect.

On the right bottom corner what are you getting as the status. Also, when you go to Edit->Define a group; under available devices do you see the IP and serial number correctly. Finally, what do you get if you click Edit->Update report list.

Thank you.

Bottom Right Conner says 'Connected to Report Server, 192.x.x.x'
Define Group: I don't see and Available devices in the box
Edit -> Update report list: I still have a empty page.

Can you make sure that the name/IP on report server is exactly same as the FB name itself; with no exception of case.

This may be the problem.  In the Log Server Setting is I can see the Firebox device it is connected to.  However I don't see where I can point the Report Server to the Firewall.  I'm not sure where to check to make sure the name/IP on report server is exactly same as the FB name itself.

Thank You

I forgot to ask have you configured logging on the box in the first place.  You specify firebox name in policy manager. In report server settings; logging settings have you configured "Enable log messages to WatchGuard log server".

Please check and update.

Thank you.

In the policy manager -> Logging Setup. I have the "Send log messages to the log servers at these IP addresses" check and the IP of the Log/Reporting server is in there.  On the Reporting server I have the "Enable log messages to WatchGuard log server" checked and the IP address of the Log/Reporting server is there.  The log level is set to "Warning" do I need to change it to something else?

If in the log viewer you see logs; then you should be able to pre-defined categories; and generate reports; all the settings look good to me.

Thank you.

Yes I see logs in log viewer.  How do I pre-define categories?

I got it figured out. I read something about PostGreSQL not installing properly from a Remote connection.  So I uninstalled the Log and Report server and reinstalled if directly on the server.  It looks like it is working now.  Thanks for your help.

The Report server and Log server where already on the same machine.  Once I uninstalled and reinstalled directly on the server. The Firebox showed up in my device list on the Report manager.
