How can I embed a picture in an Outlook email from Word via Access

I have an Access application which contains logic that generates the list of postal mail addresses of companies and individuals to whom I want to send press releases based upon the selections of criteria of the users.

The Access application then generates keywords that are embedded into a Microsoft Word document containing pictures which are automagically customized to each recipient's profile by using Word's mail merge. It has been working well for the past few years. However, more and more of the recipients want emails (and the client loves it because it saves him postage).

The recipient profile now contains email addresses and the client now wants to email the press release to those who prefer emails. Again, this is possible with little change. The problem is that the recipients DO NOT WANT attachments because of understandable various security issues.

Is there a way to create emails From Access to Word's mailmerge and then using Outlook to mail the communication where the pictures would be EMBEDDED into the email rather than attached?

Thanks in advance.
