Want to upgrade my Hard Disk from 100 GB to 320 GB

Hi,
I have a Toshiba Laptop M 200 , which does not come with a recovery Disk, Now I want to upgrade my Hard Disk from 100 GB to 320 GB , and move all applications from earlier disk to this one, How do I get facory settings moved to start with , Is the recovery image on hard Disk or BIOS...

Get a usb enclosure like one in the link below:

Download a free image software DriveImage XML below or you have better such as Norton Ghost or Acronis:
http://www.runtime.org/driveimage-xml.htm

Then image the old to new drive.

then you need an imaging software ; persobnally i prefer ACRONIS Drive image : http://www.acronis.com/
but there are free ones too
