Tape drive running at full capacity

HEllo experts,

We are running into a situation with our backups where the backups have started to fail because we have exceeded the capacity on the TAPE Cartridge(200GB/400GB Tape). If we buy a better tape drive to do backups, we would once again run into a situation as the size of our backup contantly increases. Since we our running a Windows Server 2003, with HP Ultrium tape drives, what would you suggest us to do?? Should we look at a SAN solution?? or should we look at a TAPE Autoloader to do backups?

Please make your suggestions...
