i have installed win server 2008 and the initial server setup wizard is missing, pls assist in running that
Use the command oobe to start it.

this doesn't start up the wizard.
On my 2008 server, it does. It's even an official Microsoft hint :)
Can't find the kb-article, but can be read here for example: http://www.realtime-windowsserver.com/os_features_troubleshooting/2008/02/launching_server_2008s_initial.htm

it says it cannot understand the language
You confuse me. Whats happening? Is there an oobe.exe (c:\windows\system32\oobe. exe)? Can you start it? What is complaining about the language?
ASKER
the oobe.exe is there. when i try to start it, it loads the server management, and it closes it straight away saying due to an error had to close. the short cuts which used to work now open up computer management rather than server management.
