using yum update

Hello there,
I would like to know if using (yum update) is good to keep your system up to date..
is it recommended to do it once a week or once a month? what do you guys recommend?

Yum is called as (Yellow Update Manager) which helps you r packages and kernel source up-to-date as available in you repository sources. But I recommend you to go with manual update insted of automatic becoz manual update your are sure what packages are group you like to update and depends on your need you can update the Packages.
So using yum for update depends on individual purpose of using Linux in their environments, so to be specific each end user will be having their own set of procedure in using yum.

Rather Yellowdog ....

If Your distro supports yum - use it.

Daily? As often as You can.

kosarajudeepak is right, I prefer manula update as well.
I just run from dail cron: yum update 2>/dev/null
