OMA and some OWA features not working?

Hello.

I'm running a SBS 2003 SP2 and for the most part things work fine. We just purchased some new wireless devices that use Exchange Activesync to communicate with the server but have been unsuccessful getting them to work. I beleive the issue stems from some errors I'm getting when trying to access various virtual directories on the server.

The main error I'm getting is when I go into OWA Admin and click on any of the links, the following error appears:

Server Error in '/OWAAdmin' Application.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Runtime Error
Description: An application error occurred on the server. The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details of the application error from being viewed remotely (for security reasons). It could, however, be viewed by browsers running on the local server machine.

Details: To enable the details of this specific error message to be viewable on remote machines, please create a <customErrors> tag within a "web.config" configuration file located in the root directory of the current web application. This <customErrors> tag should then have its "mode" attribute set to "Off".

<!-- Web.Config Configuration File -->

<configuration>
    <system.web>
        <customErrors mode="Off"/>
    </system.web>
</configuration>

Notes: The current error page you are seeing can be replaced by a custom error page by modifying the "defaultRedirect" attribute of the application's <customErrors> configuration tag to point to a custom error page URL.

<!-- Web.Config Configuration File -->

<configuration>
    <system.web>
        <customErrors mode="RemoteOnly" defaultRedirect="mycustompage.htm"/>
    </system.web>
</configuration>

Does anyone know what this means?

I am also unable to access the mail.domain.com/oma. I'm prompted with a log in when I browse here, enter my credentials and then the following message is displayed:

A System error has occurred while processing your request. Please try again. If the problem persists, contact your administrator.

Again, any solutions would be great.

I am testing this from inside the firewall so port and security issues shouldn't be the problem. Users are able to connect to the IMAP service and OWA with no problems. I have also checked Windows Update and there are o outstanding updates.

Thanks for your help!

Hey there.

The issue was that Service Pack 2 for exchange had not been installed. As soon as I installed it everything worked great.

Thank-you!
