almost no services start and can not view event properties

Had a server go down over the weekend. This server runs AD and Exchange and these people, a brand new client, do not have a backup. Booting into safe mode makes no difference. Does not feel like a hardware issue. I can look at the event viewer, but can not view any specific events. I can just get their name and id. I cleared the log out and did a restart and got these errors.
Under System:
SAM 12291
sbcore 1006

Under Application:
Usernv 1053
mclogevent 5022
usernv 1053

Under Directory Service:
NTDS general 1168

That is all that I can give.

I really need to get AD and Exchange off of this box.
There are a total of 9 services running right now.

When you boot into safe mode go to start run msconfig.
Uncheck anything that doesnt need to be in there.
Reboot.  Does the machine come up at all?

See if this helps at all. Also, try to change the Domain Administrator's password then reboot. Try disabling Mcafee.
