Hi, i brought up a new windows 2003 sp2 server. When i go to network places , i see my network , firm , but when i double click i get the message that firm is not accessible and i might not have the permissions to access this object.
I am login as domain admin.

Any ideas ?

have you got netbios enabled on the machines in question? and no firewalls turned on?

Author

Commented:
yes i did. One came up , but the second machine still has issues. Also i noticed that the time on the second machine is not in sync. also snmp is not running.

snmp doesnt matter - thats a monitoring protocol

times should be synced up or kerberos cries - but thats more for domain environments

firewalls? windows firewall is a prick in these situations

firewall is disabled.
how can i sync the time ? that might be an issue ?
