How do you change a file name within a database with multiple files without affecting the relationships scripts?.

I am working on a database with multiple files and I need to change the name of one file to a different name. How can I do that without affecting the scripts or the relationships?  I was also wondering if there was a way to do a multiple find and replace that would search all fields and scripts within a database or at least within a file.

I have tried to go in and manually change every instance that I can find but I still run into situations where the relationship is lost.  I tried pointing to the new file after receiving the dialog that the file could not be found but that didn't solve the problem.  There were still missing links and graphics.

I am working with Filemaker Pro 9 Advanced on a MacBook Pro.

Thank you in advance.

no trick to locate the names except making a html design report (needs the advanced version) then searching in it.
as far as replacing it, normally ext files are referenced, so if you change filepath/names there but keep the ref name, your scripts should be OK. (file/manage/external data sources)
An exception I think is for import and export actions where the filename is hardwired in scripts; my advice for these is to use variables declared at startup; this way, if several scripts use the same name, all you have to do is alter the startup script variable definition. OF course this does not apply to your exusting file

true, I forgot this one, long time I did not convert a fm6 set of files where that was a real need.
