Really simple question. I have two tables linked by their ID's. One table is a data dump and the other a refernce table. In the data dump there is arond 4900 records. when I do a query to see all records that have a matching ID I get around 4000 records. I now want a query to show all the recrods with a non mathcing ID. I have tried the obvious routes as in <> [tbl_data].[id], but no luck, just get no records returned.
SELECT tbl_remediation.[SPN ID]
FROM tbl_remediation INNER JOIN tbl_adequacy_list ON tbl_remediation.[SPN ID] = tbl_adequacy_list.spn_id
WHERE (((tbl_remediation.[SPN ID])<>[tbl_adequacy_list].[spn_id]));
