What is a .bin file I have the sdm cd but can't find the .bin file...
The .bin file is the actual IOS image for the router. Do you have any documentation of what version you were running?
ASKER
I have the CD
and its SDM-V25
the largest file is a .tar file called sdm.tar
and its SDM-V25
the largest file is a .tar file called sdm.tar
Those files are for loading the SDM (security device manager). Do you have any other media that might have the actual IOS .bin file? If you have a current SmartNet contract, you can download IOS images from cisco's website.
ASKER
No I dont have a smartnet contract, can you easily sign up to it? The routers are second hand unfortunatley
