i have 2 sata disks connected to a raid controller. they are mirrored using raid 1. one of the sata disks is in a special usb case with sata connector and is hot swappable.

sometimes i must disconnect the that drive and add a ghost image to it (or other data),

i then reconnect it to the raid controller. (which works fine) but im wondering what happens to the new data. would the new data go to the disk 1 in the array? or would the data get deleted cause its only on disk2 and not disk1 ?

how does raid 1 look at this new data?

please do NOT reply unless you know the answer 100% sure
