I have just built a new Windows 2003 server (enterprise ed, 32 bit) and this has been configured as a terminal server.
The server is a domain member with plenty of disk space and is on the same LAN as all other servers (can ping, resolve the DNS name of the exchange server etc).
I have installed Office 2007 Enterprise onto the TS server via add/remove programs and all components work correctly except Outlook.
When I try and create a profile (using the manual method) I just get a logon prompt when Outlook tries to resolve the server name. I have tried using the IP address and this works in the profile setup but then the same issue occurs when Outlook actually tries to start and open the mailbox.
Using outlook with the /rpcdiag open the first line (<server>, type-Directory,Status-Connecting).
I have tried the automatic version, deleted the profile (outlook and windows) and fully service packed outlook and windows.
The only non-standard setup is that we use a frontend backend topology with the frontend server in a DMZ.
Any help greatly appreciated!
