Missing Ultrium 4 Windows Server 2003 event ID 153

While using arcserve 12 with an HP MSL 2024 with 2 Ultrium 4 drives, one of the drives has now disappeared from the devices on the arcserve menu. During my investigation I noticed that the drive disappeared from the device manager, and in the event viewer there was an event id 153
"Did not match serial number "Serial Number" provided by "Drive Name" among the list of drives." The only thing I was able to find on the web is located at this site: http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/273486.htm and the solution does not work. Is there anyone that can help me with this.

OK it was the Removable Storage Service, but that was not the entire problem.  We had already disabled that a few days ago.  Turns out it was now a cabling problem... everything is working now with new cables.
