SUN Solaris 10_Recommended Patches - first pass some fail?

I am applying the !0_Recommeneded patch cluster
Are you ready to continue with install? [y/n]: y
Determining if sufficient save space exists...
Sufficient save space exists, continuing...

Installing 121296-01...
Installation of 121296-01 failed. Return code 1.

Some are failing - I know it takes two tries to apply this patch cluster but I do not know how to check to see if after both times applying the patch cluster - how do I know all of those that should be applied were?

I know there are logs to check but that is a lot of stuff to try to wade through.
Is there an easier way to know if this was successful?

Thanks

You will get some failures if the patch isn't applicable to your system, eg: you don't have a particular package installed.

Yes I had already found the list of what the error codes meant - but what is a usage error?  error code #1?

Can you also tell me how to know what patch level I should be at when this is complete.
I have different patch levels on my other SUN boxes and could find nothing in the cluster_readme that tells you what patch level you should end up with.
This is the best money I have ever spent. I cannot not tell you how many times these folks have saved my bacon. I learn so much from the contributors.
