I believe Office 2007 Enterprise or Ultimate will allow deployment. &nbsp;You can create a network installation point, ie. copy the CD to a network share and run the setup from the share... this will allow you to do a CD free install.<br />

I think you are right. The only article I was able to find on Technet indicated that you would point your GPO at Enterprise.WW\EnterpriseWW<wbr />.msi which does not exist in the Professional edition. I have our volume license rep looking into it. <br />

Thanks for the article reference. &nbsp;I had tried deployment of other versions of 2007 for an article I was working on, and then found (after copying the entire CD to the network) that only Enterprise plays well for deployment.

I checked with Microsoft on this issue and Retail deployments are not supported. &nbsp;While it may be possible to push them out with group policy, there is no way to create a customization file for a retail install of this type.<br />
<br />
You will also see issues where an activation needs to happen, where a volume license will not request each copy to be activated<br />

I saw a recent solution to create an administrative installation point by copying the files from the CD to a network share. This is useless because there is no .msi file to attach to your GPO. Then old process was: use a volume license CD, click start, run, type setup.exe /a. This no longer works. Is there a certain version I need for this now or is it just not available any more?
