SCSI RAID shows up as "unknown" + "unreadable"

After the following errors appeared in the event log, I can no longer get the SCSI RAID to appear as a partition in the disk management service.
The device 'MicroNet PlatRAID-VOL#00 SCSI Disk Device' (SCSI\Disk&Ven_MicroNet&Prod_PlatRAID-VOL#00&Rev_R001\6&d62ea36&0&000600) disappeared from the system without first being prepared for removal.

The device, \Device\Harddisk1, is not ready for access yet.

Can you reinstall the drivers for it then reboot.  Hopefully it then comes back.
The device is still showing in device mgr?

The "add hardware" service in Windows 2003 detected it the first time.  What's the most thorough way of clearing away the driver?

And yes, it still shows in device manager.

Alundrez,

This is what I suspect as well (it's a 0).  I'm going to exchange the RAID for a new one and continue testing.  I'll split points.
