Also you can use the module Win32::Service

I am only able to use libraries that come with the standard activestate perl 5.8 installation. Is the win32::service lib included in that?
This is the best money I have ever spent. I cannot not tell you how many times these folks have saved my bacon. I learn so much from the contributors.
