Cannot find drivers for Adaptec 2010S SCSI RAID for Microsoft Server 2008

I am trying to upgrade my server from microsoft 2003 x64, to microsoft 2008 x64.  I cannot locate any drivers for server 2008 for the adaptec 2010S SCSI Raid Controller my server has.  Are there any drivers out there, or is there any workaround to get 2008 to recognize the RAID?

Basically, MS Windows 2008 is equipped with inbuilt drivers for most of the available controllers. When you say "I cannot locate any drivers for server 2008 for..." do you mean that you have tried installation of the OS?

If not, I would suggest, you must try proceeding with installation and check if you are able to detect the HDDs. I am saying this because I have tried this in embedded RAID configuration in servers and installation of Windows 2008.

I have tried the installation, both from the dvd at boot, and from starting inside the existing 2003 configuration.  Windows 2008 installation when started from boot will not see the RAID, and when started from win2003 will see it, but says it needs drivers to install to it.  I have not found said drivers.

I know this question is quite old but I just wanted to say that I had a Server 2003 R2 x86 installation that I wanted to upgrade to 2008 x86. I had the default drivers installed from the original 2003 installation and I had to same error message inside the 2008 upgrade setup. I downloaded the "latest" drivers for 2003 on Adaptec's website:

http://www.adaptec.com/en-us/speed/raid/asr/windows/asr2010s_2015s_win2k3_drv_cert_exe.htm

which were 1 year younger (2003 vs 2002) than the one I had already installed. I upgraded the driver, rebooted and the upgrade setup went through!

All of this is for x86 installations so it might be trickier on a x64 system but it's worth a try for anybody stepping on this question.

On the Microsoft and Adaptec webpage - on both says that this adapter is supported by the Windows 2008 instalation - but this is not true... Also it doesn't load the original Windows 2003 drivers...
