Problem accessing server after removal of ISA and RRAS

We are moving to a router based multi site network and have removed ISA from our small business Server 2003. At the same time we have disabled routing and remote access on the server. The windows firewall is also now disabled. The server is now not reachable on the Lan. We have 3 other member servers each on a static IP which cannot even ping the sbs server but can reach each other. We can remote desktop each member server but none can communicate back to the SBS at all.

SBS server static IP 192.168.0.2 Mask 255.255.255.0 GW 192.168.0.253
Member server IP 192.168.0.3 Mask 255.255.255.0 GW 192.168.0.253

Has anyone experienced this before?
