OK a number of questions, I will try to answer all in one go. To narrow down the issue which occurs from all connected PC's and servers. Firewall client has been removed, I have local access to the server and can browse from server back to any connected equipment. Problem only occurs when accessing server from any other PC on the LAN. Can surprisingly RDP the server but not ping or access on any port other than 3389?? seems to me some trailing firewall entris may still be active or corrupt, despite the firewall being disabled. I have also re-rin the Internet connection wizard and can access Internet and local Companyweb on server locally.<br />

the firewalls shouldn't be disabled, they should be configured by the CEICW, and they certainly allow a ping.<br />
So actually, enable them again, rerun the CEICW, and after that they should be policy based via the SBS server.<br />
btw, any antivirus software running on the server? disabled that for testing.

Also, have you messed about with the AD on the SBS? SBS expects to find the users and computers in the default OU's - have you amended this at all?

On test PC Windows Firewall enabled and can ping other servers OK. I am also running ping test from router to eliminate any issues with PC's. No changes have been made to Users and Computers OU's in AD. Anti virus is disabled on client and server?

To be clear Once we removed ISA and RRAS we were on a single Lan card and router config. Then ran CEICW and all tables and settings updated.

why did you uninstall the RRAS component?<br />
not that is has anything to do with it, but RRAS should be installed on the SBS server.<br />

RRAS has not been removed simply disabled. We have rolled back the system to the state prior to ISA removal and worked through the issue again. The problem seems to be some trailing settings left by ISA. We do not want or need ISA to handle firewall requirements as we are using a single Lan card/ Router config, our aim is a clean removal to leave event logs as clean as possible once complete.<br />

If we disable ISA we get the problem described above, essentially we want a clean removal of ISA leaving RRAS intact if possible, but dont seem to be able to achieve removal without looding connectivity to the SBS<br />

We were initially unable to remove ISA without an error, however after all the changes we successfully removed ISA and disabled routing and remote access. After running all the wizards normal operations resumed. Many thanks for every ones help on this

We have 3 other member servers each on a static IP which cannot even ping the sbs server but can reach each other. We can remote desktop each member server but none can communicate back to the SBS at all.<br />
