Linksys makes only 2.4GHz 11n devices.<br />
Does the Intel card have both 2.4GHz and 5GHz 11n radios and drivers? (and do you have both enabled?)<br />

Linksys is polluting their own pool, in my honest opinion. They have a widely installed base of 11g routers that the 40MHz-wide channels of their 2.4GHz 11n routers will essentially make worthless (unless nobody else nearby is on channel 11, which is the only non-overlapping channel not interfered with by the 40MHz-wide 2.4GHz 11n channel their devices use).

&nbsp; &nbsp;802.11n Mode &nbsp; &nbsp; enabled (vs disabled)<br />

Currently, and while connected, the Lynksys I had set to:<br />
&nbsp;Band: 40hz only <br />
&nbsp; Network mode: mixed &nbsp;(as I stated, if I switch to transmit N only, I no longer can connect with above setting)<br />

I read all the specks I could find and missed that one. &nbsp;In fact the link you provide, I read, and if you look, this is the very first sentence &nbsp;&quot;The Intel® Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN product is an embedded 802.11a/b/g/Draft N¹ PCIe* Mini Card network adapter card that operates in both the 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz spectrum.&quot; &nbsp; It is only later that it clarifies things.<br />

Would you recommend the best N class 5Ghz wireless router for the money ( i have only one laptop I use for work to connect with. &nbsp;Desktop is kind of a spare and is directly LAN connected.)

Could you recommend the best and most reliable 5 Ghz and 40HMz band wireless router in your opinion? &nbsp;Obviously, I bought the wrong one already!!! &nbsp;(cant return it, its been way to long. &nbsp;I just recently learned I was not connected at the N class speeds.)

Well, I've owned DLink, Netgear, Linksys and Cisco routers, and my daughter's Dell has a draft-n wireless card in it (Intel, I think), but I have yet to buy an 11n router. So I don't really endorse any of them, and can't yet recommend any with the limited experience I have from playing on hers a few times at friends' homes. None of those had enough internet bandwidth to choke 54Mbit connections, and I didn't transfer any gigabyte-size files across their LANs, so any possible advantages were not immediately apparent to me. Sorry.<br />

I have followed the most current Intel product descirption, set up directions, and company instructions. My Router is a Lynksys WRT150N with the most recent up dates and proper configuration, latest firmware, transmitting in N class only.<br />

The connection is fine, though I only connect at 54, but when I switch my router set up to transmit on N class only, all connectivity is lost.<br />
