Active Directory Recovery - Windows 2000

We are still running Windows 2000 AD - one Primary/Master server (PDC in old terms) and two back-up servers within a single domain

Unfortunately the UPS on our PDC failed last week and the machine was powered off in an unclean state. I managed to restart the server but it needs to run a full CHKDSK - I skipped this process to get the machine back on-line. When I run CHKDSK without the /f parameter this process does not finish and reports an error after about 1 hour

Everything works OK now but the machine is complaining about corrupt file - I am concerned it may not come back online after the next reboot

I do have a full GHOST image of the server, which is a few weeks old.

In the event of the PDC not restarting, if I restore the GHOST image back to the state of the server some 3-4 weeks ago will the other controllers update any changes made over this time (i.e. new users added etc.) - I want to check that the PDC doesn't delete the new users etc. from the back-up controllers

I also take and have a tape back-up of the server before the crash, if  required
