Appreciate you taking time and responding to my post which is a little complex.<br />
The thing is that, this deployment software that we are talking about, has this procedure for taking the backup.<br />
1)From the deployment server software you start the imaging. You select the server for which you are taking the image and start the imaging on it.<br />
2)Once initiated, the deployment software will restart the server and start the imaging of the selected server.<br />
3)Supposingly everything goes well and the imaging starts. It will finish the image and restart the server.<br />
Now, the point of writing the procedure is to tell you that even if I STOP THE SERVICES, THE SERVER IS RESTARTED DURING THE PROCESS OF IMAGING, AND ON THE RESTART THE SERVICES MIGHT GET INITIATED. And this might be preventing the image process.<br />
I had stopped the services of SQL server to make it work, but it didn't work.<br />
How do I make sure that I have stopped all the database services and that it will not start on the restart.<br />

I have installed "Rapid Deployment Pack" from HP which is "Based on Altiris Deployment Server" Altiris.
I am taking an image of one of the server from the list of servers which I have added in the "Remote Deployment Console " for taking images.
When I start the image,

And in the console from the deployment server, I get this error message
"RDeplay: Volume could not be locked for imaging"

RDeploy: Volume could not be locked for imaging

Software is any set of instructions that directs a computer to perform specific tasks or operations. Computer software consists of programs, libraries and related non-executable data (such as documentation). Software

Servers are computing devices that are similar to desktop computers in that they have the same basic components, but are significantly different in size, configuration and purpose. Servers are usually accessed over a network, and many run unattended, without a computer monitor, input device, audio hardware or USB interfaces. Many servers do not have a graphical user interface (GUI), and are configured and managed remotely. Servers typically include hardware redundancy such as dual power supplies, RAID disk systems, and ECC memory, along with extensive pre-boot memory testing and verification. Critical components might be hot swappable, and to guard against overheating, servers might have more powerful fans or use water cooling.

Server Hardware

The term "Backup" means the methods and processes involved to copy computer data (system data as well as application data) to media other than the ones where the data originally live (disk, tape, optical, cloud). "Restore" in turn means the methods and processes involved in data recovery, i. e., bringing back copied computer data to their original location. Backup/Restore primarily serves as a means of protection against data loss, be it due to disaster, corruption or sabotage. It can also be used for recovering data from an earlier point in time and even for cloning machines or applications. There is a wide variety of backup/restore software available, from expensive commercial products to free or open source tools.
