SSIS Dates problem again

I have dates coming in on a data flow task as 1/1/1000,which redirects to an error output.
any ideas/examples how to change them to a valid date ?

That depends on what you want to do wth invalid dates.
Do you want to correct them - by setting the year to the current year? Or replace with null? Or by setting it to an arbitrary valid date (i.e. 1/1/1980)
