No "Local Area Network Connection" yet I have Internet access.
Motherboard - Asus P5ND 750SLI
OS - Win XP SP3
I uninstalled NVIDIA's 8.43 NFORCE driver and installed their 15.17 driver which drastically slowed down my work machine on start-up. It would hang for about a minute whilst it was searching for an internet connection. So I uninstalled the driver, ran driver cleaner pro and reverted back to the old 8.43 driver which works perfectly fine. Start-up speed was resumed and it picked up the internet connection immediately but I have lost my "Local Area Connection" from "Network Connections". Any ideas?
If I can remember correctly a lot of forums were complaining after the release of the 15.17 driver as they labelled the vista driver for xp and vice versa. Even now NVIDIA have got the 8.43 driver listed for English (US) and the 15.17 driver for English (UK) which doesn't make sense.
