SQL Server Reporting setting a SSRS subscription service to add note to report email if report is empty

I am using SQL Server 2005 Reporting services, I need to set up a suscription for a report such that if the report is empty, I need to add a note in the email , stating that the report is empty.

It could be possible to add this to the report footer, and toggle visibility depending on the number of rows.

If the rows are 0 then make the comment visible.

ASKER

I need to add a note within the email.
If the report is empty, does the user not have to open the report and then find out that it is empty

I can go with the Global variables, can you send me some links or information on how to do this, as I am new to SSRS

I can live with this idea of yours

You could make a new parameter here which contains the rownumber, and then show "EMPTY!" if the rowcount is 0, or nothing if the report has rows.
