Verifying signed data using openssl

Hi there.  I'm trying to use openssl to verify a signed piece of text.  This is contained in the 'ByteArray.bin' file and I'm trying to verify it using the public key, 'pubkey.pem'.  Here is the command and result I'm getting.  Could someone explain the output that is produced.  Is this the message digest of the string.  Does this mean that the signature was verified?

openssl.exe rsautl -verify -in ByteArray.bin -pubin - inkey pubkey.pem
Loading 'screen' into random state - done
_²KB§;_=R ûcc5`f84¶

Thanks hernst42, I was hoping to hear that.  However when I open the ByteArray.bin file in notepad it doesn't match the _²KB§;_=R ûcc5`f84¶ string I'm getting from openssl.
