No, I know how to create the file using the writer. What I am missing is the file format. each field must be separated using a pipe symbol, right now each field is separated by space instead. I need to be able to accomplish this when outputing each record. In case that the field is empty, I still need to output &quot;|&quot; on that position.<br />

Sorry for the misunderstanding. I basically need a sample of how to write the pipe symbol as a delimeter in a text file.<br />
