closing outlook does not end process

When I exit Outlook 2007 the process outlook.exe shows as still running in the Task Manager

Thanks. I turned off some unused add-ins and although there is a short delay - the process does end in task manager

Check the outbox. I had encountered this problem before and ti was due to a 200MB attachment a user was attempting to send cause hell in both the PST file and the mailserver.
