Windows 2003 w/ SP2, have a directory that was being used, it according to properties has
1.9 million files, and is 6.7GB in size,
using RMDIR etc will take some where into next year, is there a file utility that will do this quicker?
I found Directory Eraser, sounded promising, but did not work.
Any others?
get into command prompt and change directory into that folder and then if you know the pattern of file names you try and delete them over many commands. the deletion from cmd promt is quiet fast as compared from gui when there in a LOT of files.
The Microsoft Server topic includes all of the legacy versions of the operating system, including the Windows NT 3.1, NT 3.5, NT 4.0 and Windows 2000 and Windows Home Server versions.
