Obtaining Windows Sever 2008 Stndard Or Enterprise

We have been studying Window Sever 2003 Enterprise in our Network Administration class using an evaluation copy. I would like to purchase the newer 2008 that is currently out. The evaluation Server 2003 ends shortly. Is there an inexpensive way to buy this 2008 edition of Windows Server (not an evaluation copy) since I am a student for educational purposes?

Most of the time you can purchase this software through the school. There are other ways to get MS software for testing purposes like the Technet subscription from MS.

You can also look into buying a subscription to TechNet Plus Direct - which includes most of the software you'd have an interest in for $350.  However, I have heard rumor they are now "testing" you before they allow you to buy it (making sure you have some logical technical reason for purchasing it and aren't just trying to circumvent proper licensing.
