How do I create a Podcast Feed that uses mp3's hosted on other sites?
How do I create a Podcast Feed that uses mp3's hosted on other sites?
I saw that MediaFly does this so that they can aggregate media without hosting the media.
Thanks!

Its all about the enclosure tag. The url= value in the enclosure tag says right where the media file is for that specific item in the podcast.
for example (and I just grabbed this off one of my feeds):
the url value in that tag says the media is hosted at "media.libsyn.com" even though the rss feed wasn't.
If you're using a podcast manager program, you can normally put in the full URL of the media and it'll work just fine. Just be sure your media host can handle the possible bandwidth drag that hosting podcasts can bring.

Do you know if I can look in my iTUnes I see where all the files in the feed are hosted?
What I'm trying to do is create a feed with all the NPR Podcasts that contain a certain topic and host that feed, but not actually host the files because I'm guessing it's not legal to host there mp3's?

i'm not an iTunes user myself (well, not for some time anyway), but if i remember right, you can right click on any particlar episode and under properties see the location of the media file.
