Try uninstalling Paint &amp;&nbsp;reinstalling <br />

Control Panel&gt;Add/Remove Programs&gt;Add/Remove Windows Components&gt;accessories &amp;&nbsp;utilities&gt;Accessories<br />

uncheck , choose apply, then reinstall again.<br />
<br />
also please make sure the default input language is english, as well as default language for Non unicode characters.<br />
<br />
this can be maintained from Control Panel &gt;regional and language options.<br />
<br />

Ok, the first thing I tried was uninstalling/reinstalling paint. Then I checked the regional and language options that were mentioned, and both were set to English. Lastly I tried deleting the registry key, and unfortunately none of these worked. Thanks again for the suggestions. Got any other ideas?

When I am using Paint, and I go to the print preview, the buttons across that top (that are supposed to say Print, Zoom, Close, etc.) show only weird characters. Here's what I have tried:<br />
1) Changing display settings; when you right-click the desktop and go to Properties, I thought the settings in there might fix it, but when I logged onto another profile on the same computer, it had different settings (I guess the default) and on that profile, paint still had those weird characters.<br />
2) I went to Control Panel, then Fonts, and deleted all that was in there. I copied fonts from another computer and pasted them into the folder. This didn't help either.<br />
3) I did a Windows repair with the XP reinstallation CD. Nothing changed.<br />
I don't know how else to fix this. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.<br />

Problem in Print Preview with Paint
