fast way to test potential issues with lots of version of software

I install version 1.0 of a bit of software onto an XP box to check a potential issue. Then i have to check a different issue on version 2.3 of the product. Then someone else calls up and wants something entirely different checked on version 9.3. Using the same XP box, what is the fastest way to switch between versions of software, when i use the same hardware? boot.ini? hardware profiles ? Ghost?
