The Adaptec 2170200-R will probably suite your needs perfectly. &nbsp;It's a widely supported brand name card. &nbsp;I know it has &nbsp;4 ports not two but it's only $110 for true HW raid so... I'd call it a steal at that price :)<br />

Plus if you need more ports in the future or want to add another RAID-1 you can!<br />

2170200-R is not a hardware RAID card. 1210SA, i am kind of @#%$ about it based on reviews from Newegg.<br />

i am looking for something around $200-300 range. any low profile PCI-X would do, right? that's pretty much what i need to know, the rest i can handle.

Does anybody know what the best SATA RAID card for PowerEdge SC1425 is? It's an 1-U server and has very tight space inside. the I/O port is PCI-X 64-bit/133Mhz. <br />

Of course I know any PCI-X SATA RAID card would work, but due to the space limitation, they may not fit.<br />
