Looking for Freeware to edit and save existing fonts on my computer (so that whenever i use them they will look like the changed font i made from the existing ones).
Hey all!!! So i'm looking for any good freeware that will allow me to make changes/edit existing fonts available on my computer, then have the new edited font available for universal uses. (i.e. through Word, Photo Shop, GIMP etc...) Thanks!!!

I haven't used it, but ran across it on EE. So, http://fontforge.sourceforge.net/ is good? Seems like it has quit a few un-fixed bugs... anything i should be worried about? Other than that, i'll give it a try!

Hey Iherrou, i took a look at the http://www.downloadsquad.com/2005/09/13/free-font-editor-in-windows/ on my computer, and i think that it will work just fine for me. If only i could figure out how to edit and make available existing fonts on my computer...?

I figured out how to edit and then save the edited character (individual edited letter) to the Character Map under "Private Characters". Any idea how i can insert it into the actual font though?

Tried to open fontforge, but having trouble...? Its an "rpm" file, for some reason i cant open it...?

Just having a REALLY hard time getting this to work... :-( All i want is to be able to edit an existing font on my computer, and then have that edited letter appear every time i type it thereafter. Is there no way for an infant like me to be able to accomplish this...? :-(
