The specified domain does not exist or could not be contacted. DNS not working correctly
Windows 2000 server, running DNS, DHCP, WINS
Windows 2000 server running SQL and file server, print
10 machines on LAN
ADSL Router
This week our network has been slow. One of our laptops takes 5-10 minutes to start. If I take the network cable out the machine it starts straight away.
All other machines are connected to the network but some users reporting network very slow
I think I have a DNS problem as I am also unable to join new machines to the domain. It tells me that there are not domain controllers to service the request
On the SQL server the following error is listed
Event Type: Error

Event Category: None

Please let me know what other info you require to resolve this, I am at a lost and wondering if rebuilding the DC is the ansa
