Meeting request is coming in plain text

We are using Exchange2003 SP2, client Outlook 2003 SP1

Whenever we receive meeting request from external domain who is using Exchange 2007 we get that meeting request in plain text mail instead of meeting request format.

Could any one help me out to resolve this issue?

"*In "Hub Transport Role" on Exchange 2007 settings, add the recipients domain as a remote domain and set it to always use "rich text format" when sending to that domain. Then you should be able to send new meeting requests to that domain, and the recipients will receive them as normal meeting requests and be able to accept them. "

Did you find a solution to this?  I am having the same problem essentially.

Did you try the solution i mentioned above?

Yes, it makes no difference.  Actually my problem is slightly different, but I get the EXACT same meeting request as plain text email.  Mine happens when my INTERNAL users create a meeting, and add BOTH internal AND external users.  ALL of the people invited get this plain email rather than the meeting request.  If we invite only internal people, it works fine.

Thanks,

Rob

ASKER

Hi thanks for all your inputs.

In our case we found that our spam manager services provider (MessageLabs) is having this issue. Whenever inbound mail comes to our network it pass-through Messagelabs and it adds the disclaimer for the inbound mail, thats causing the issue. MessageLabs team is working on it to resolve.

In our case, the disclaimer in GFI Mail Essentials messed it up. If it's disabled, then everything is fine.

I worked a ticket today for this same issue... the user would receive outlook invites fine from everyone but 2 other users- one was using Outlook 2007, the other 2003 (my user is on 2003). I found absolutely nothing to go on here or anywhere from googling, so here's what I did. Closed outlook and deleted the ost file. Using UNC to his C$ I deleted the OLK folder in C:\Documents and Settings\<UserID>\Local Settings\temporary internet files. I also deleted frmcache.dat file in C:\Documents and Settings\<UserID>\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Forms.
It worked.
