An IDE is a software application that provide comprehensive facilities to computer programmers for software development. An IDE normally consists of a source code editor, build automation tools and a debugger. XCode, Visual Studio, Adobe Dreamweaver and Eclipse are some of the more popular development tools, but an editor or IDE can be anything from simple text editors to sophisticated programs.
