To give more details. I'm using a relatively large linq query in the cod behind of a page to join 6 tables, select some columns and them use the result as a datasource for a gridview. My problem is that i have to deal with two different situations, one requires an outer join on two table (so i would have some nulls) and for the other i do simple join (in case of null, i don't want the data in my final result).<br />
Of course the change is minimal, but by no means I do not want to write two identical queries (for future development I might get to four situations, again very similar). I'm looking for a way to make the query more flexible and generate it dynamically based on some parameters, that will allow me to choose between the outer join and the regular join.<br />
I'm a beginner in Linq so code and examples are very much appreciated. I'm thinking about using .Join but i don't know how to start.
