We have a VPN connection between offices.
I have tested connection speeds from one site to another and got different results. My question is, what percentage of a full bandwidth connection does a typical VPN connection operate at (in comparison to the full bandwidth it's running on)?
For instance, if I have a internet connection setup at my remote location that is said to operate 512k and a VPN connection sent through that, what percentage of the full bandwith is the VPN said to running at typically?
512k bandwith = 100% bandwidth
VPN Connection runs at 63k = 12.3% bandwidth of the 100%(512k) connection.
Is that a TYPICAL percentage for the VPN to run at? or should it be like 25% or more? or less???
