Is v2.0 .NET Framework included when installing the "Application" Server Role in Windows Server 2008

I understand that the "Application Server" Role in Windows Server 2008 installs v3.0.  But my question specifically concerns v2

Version 2.0 .NET Framework is required for a specific application, so if it is included as a part of the "Application Server" role via Windows Server 2008, then I will just install it that way.

Otherwise, I will need to download and install it separately.

v3.0 is just a superset of v2.0.    So, yes.... when you install the .Net Framework 3.0, you automatically get .Net Framework 2.0

I am satisfied with that as long as v3 supports all v2 function calls, etc. (not a developer, so my verbage may not be correct).
