Vista Task Manager Corrupted

My Vista Task Manager has become corrupted. If I select Start Task Manager, I only get one screen with no tabs. I can end or switch to programs but cannot see the processes. See the attached snippet. Also, I cannot close Task Manager itself. I have to drag it out of signt near the bottom of the screen.
