What are the steps to correctly install BIDS for Visual Studio 2008.
Greetings Experts,
I must admit I am more frustrated with MS than ever - It seems like installing BIDS (Business Intelegence Development Studio) wouldn't be that hard. In any event, I have played with my install in all too many ways to count now, and I still can't see a BIDS project option in VS2008.
Here is what I need for 500 pts.
List me the exact installation steps to get BIDS up and running in VS2008. I have a fresh copy of windows vista. I currently have installed VS2008 and SQL Server 2005 Express Installed. I aparently also have ALL of the extra tools and components installed, (analysis services, integration services, workstation components) - or so the SQL Server MSI tells me that I do -- But I can't see any BI templates in VS.
Below is a copy/paste of the report generated from the Programs and Features page. Also, attached are 2 screensthots that may be useful.
I will reinstall all of the stuff if somone can tell me exactly the correct order and what options to select where. I will award no points for being directed to antother resource - i have done my research, and there is no easy description of how to get to the appropriate configuraiton.
Thank you experts

The following components are installed on this server
I dont think you can get the BIDS with SQL express.
You need to install either Sql server 2005 or Sql server 2008. Whne you install them you should see BIDs as one of the components. Select BIDS to installl it.
