One other thing, if it does not go away after you follow it through, try this link:  http://thebackroomtech.wordpress.com/2007/11/14/ie7-how-to-stop-httprunoncemsncomrunonce2aspx-from-loading-every-time-ie-is-started/

To Summarize, make these registry changes:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main]
RunOnceComplete=dword:00000001
RunOnceHasShown=dword:00000001

I kind of got robbed on points here.  The NoRunOnce.reg script simply makes the same 2 registry changes which I posted first.
James7707,

Glad to know it's been resolved.
Thanks!

@evanmcnally,

Sorry you feel that way. I really don't go around EE stealing points, but I do post if there's an easier option available which is what I did here.
You suggested that he should've edited the registry to solve the issue, maybe he is not comfortable editing the registry and he went for the safe and easy solution where mistake is not possible. There's no need to edit the registry if a reg file is available, I just gave him the easy option of merging a reg file which you could've also given him.

When I don't know if the Asker is familiar with the registry or not, a reg file is much simpler and safe(no chance of messing up the registry)
Sometimes, that's just how it is here, the first correct answer is not always the route that the Asker chooses to go if there are other easier options available that give the same results.

You can have half of the points if that makes you happy. Please ask the Mods to review this thread.

I went with the easiest and quickest solution...even though evan did provide 1st resolution.  I have no problem editing the registry it's just when I saw rpggamegirls reply I had dealt with her in previous problems and she always had quick resolutions in the past.  This is why I gave her 500 pts... where does it say I must share with other experts.  Is it not up to the Issuer who he or she assigns points to unless of course there is a major disagreement and the Moderator steps in.  After all its not money here we are talking about.  To be fair here I say give 150 to Evan and 350 to rpggamegirl.....fair enough?

James,

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to be disrespectful when I offered a 50/50 split, of course awarding points is up to you, it's your call.
I guess I just wanted peace when another expert is unhappy with me getting the points, sorry.

Thank you.
Thank you again Rpggamegirl!  Everything is back together and thank the rest of you also who offered your expertise!
