What file system is your linux guest using? &nbsp;(I'm gonna take a wild shot and guess its not FAT or NTFS or, well, something that Windows understands) &nbsp;If the file system of the virtual drive isn't a readable fs in windows you'll have to get a program to mount that file system inside of windows and then work from there.

I have no idea.. I just download the vmware version from BT3. Here is the screenshot of the folder.<br />

yeah, your distro doesn't use a file system windows can read. &nbsp;It's like putting a Mac formatted diskette into a PC (I don't know how old you are so that may not be a good example). &nbsp;Lets say trying to open that virtual disk in windows is like me giving you a piece of paper where I have written the secret of life in ancient Babylonian Cuneiform. &nbsp;You see the the paper is of something, but to you it looks like a bunch of doodles and you want to take notes on the secret of life, so you ask to erase (format) the paper so you can use it.<br />

Its the same here. &nbsp;All the data is there, but its in a language that Windows doesn't understand so it cant communicate with that drive. &nbsp;No reading or writing. &nbsp;Sorry mate.

I also tried to mount the windows 2003 server. I am able to mount it. But when I start the virtual machine, I got this message (please see the 2nd screenshot)<br />

I am running vmware workstation 6.0.4.<br />
I am able to drag and drop from windows host to windows guest. However I canot drag and drop from windows host to linux guest.<br />
I downloaded VMware-mount-5.0.0-13124.e<wbr />xe. From windows host CMD, I did the following:<br />

2. cd Program Files\VMware\VMware DiskMount Utility<br />

How to drag and drop from windows host to linux guest?
