Not all computers showing up in Microsoft Networks\Domain

If I double click on My Network Places, then Entire Network, and then Microsoft Windows Network I will see my domain available. Then when I double click on the domain I should see all of the PCs and servers on the domain, but It only finds some. The main reasons this is a problem is that I am trying to push Symantec Endpoint Protection to all the clients in the network using the Endpoint Protection Manager which in turn uses the Microsoft Windows Network\Domain to find the computers to push to. What is the causes that would prevent all of the computers\servers from showing up?

2 reasons :

1 - Firewall enabled on the NICS

2 - PC are not ALL on the same domain

Make sure you can ping to all of them

A few thought; Pick a problematic PC and check the following:
-Under the network adapter's  properties make sure "client for Microsoft networks" and " File and print sharing" are enabled
-Under the network adapter's properties, TCP/IP properties, advanced, WINS, make sure disable NetBIOS over TCP/IP is not set. Default is fine or better still choose enable
-If the Windows firewall is enabled, make sure the file and print sharing exception is enabled

If you have WINS server, make sure there are no conflicting IP/name entries

By the way, when you make changes, due to the nature of the browsing service they can take quite a while before they affect the computers visible in Microsoft Windows Network

So 2 thoughts after reading the replies:

Do the computers have to have File and Print sharing enabled to show up under the Microsoft Networks -> Domain ?

We are a library that provides public access computers to access the internet etc. I was told by my former boss that those computers should not logon to the Domain (security reasons) so when the patron logs on, it is to the local machine. Could this be why some arent showing then? Should I at least create a workgroup and join them to that instead of the local machine? I still can get on these machines as administrator on the domain when needed though. So it is a tad confusing to me...its pretty much like the computer has joined the domain but is logged on to the local machine. So would that stop it from being found in Microsoft Networks -> Domain -> (computers)?

I'm not sure if you've already solved your problem but I do know SEPM defaults to displaying 30 items on each page.  Open SEPM highlight Clients then click Set Display Filter and increase the number to one that is more appropriate for your organization.

Cheers!
