Question about SBS 2003 OEM DIsks

This is not a problem yet but maybe soon. I have SBS 2003 (Not R2) server that needs some attention but we have lost the disks. I have the product key on the side of the computer so I just need the disks. This is Small Business Server 2003  (Not Premium nor R2) OEM on a Dell 1800 server. Any suggestions?

Thanks

So you have no disks and no key either !
I presume there is no key on a sticker on the server itself either.

All I can suggest is that you contact the OEM who supplied the server and see if they are able to provide the disks.

Read what I wrote above: "I have the product key on the side of the computer so I just need the disks. "
I already have an email to the manufacturer.

Valid solutions given

I agree with KCTS - valid solutions were provided by the experts. The EE FAQ states a solution can still be "You can't do that" or be something else which you knew already but just needed to check.

@Brian - when you post an objection from now on you need to press "Object" to actually interrupt the procedure... it would appear you only pressed "Submit" in the comment box?!

I hadn't noticed the "object" button - is it new?
Not that it did me any good in this case anyway :-(

Yep when someone starts an auto-close or auto-delete, the comment box has an extra button down next to submit. You enter your comment and press Object to post in CS for Moderator intervention - just submitting your comment keeps the procedure going... so you can still communicate with the author without stopping the auto-close.

At the top of the question there is a text box too which describes what the author wants to do (PAQ or Delete), and you get a type of comment box up there which is just for putting in an objection.

Look at the auto-close in my own Q which I solved today if you want to see this "in action": https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/23569826/ASP-lockup-worker-process-recycling.html t know if you can see it because you aren't a participating expert - but I guess you should be able to.

Sorry guys for all my abruptness last week, my frustration was in the servers issues as you probably have experienced many time. My apologies.

Even Dell doesn't sell the disks any more. I don't need SBS 2003 R2.

Service stock for End-of-Life (EOL) operating systems that shipped with Dell-branded media is limited.  Due to legal obligations, Dell is unable to produce those CDs after the operating system goes EOL.

New version is:  Windows Small Business Server 2003 R2 SP2

part number for premium: UK541

part number for standard: DP974

If they are going to send the R2 edition free of charge, then go for it. I highly doubt they will be doing this though?!

They are not free and useless to me with a none R2 version.

In that case, I don't think you're going to get anywhere with anyone else either. With SBS 2008 on the horizon, the non-R2 edition of 2003 isn't going to get much attention. Did you say you tried Microsoft? That's the last resort.

EOL with MS too. I have a 2003 Premium edition but I don't think that will work with a standard key.

Windows Server 2003 was based on Windows XP and was released in four editions: Web, Standard, Enterprise and Datacenter. It also had derivative versions for clusters, storage and Microsoft’s Small Business Server. Important upgrades included integrating Internet Information Services (IIS), improvements to Active Directory (AD) and Group Policy (GP), and the migration to Automated System Recovery (ASR).
